In response to food insecurity during the 2020 Covid 19 pandemic, Babylon Vault Company organized a community food drive. Respecting the state-mandated guidelines of social distancing, a no-contact drop off trailer was placed at the corner of Wakefield Valley Road and route 31. The trailer was accessible for drop-offs 24/7. Through the result of advertising frequent PSA’s on WTTR, the Carroll County Times, and Facebook, over 10,000 pounds of non-perishable food was collected and distributed.
Babylon Vault Company employees organized and distributed the donations to 11 food pantries that served all of the zip codes throughout the county.
In addition, in the spirit of honoring our veterans, Babylon Vault Company organized and hosted two drive up food pantries for veterans and provided produce, fresh milk, bread, eggs and a bag of non-perishable food items. Pet food was also distributed.
Babylon Vault Company would like to thank MCQE, Cold Springs Farm, Local Homestead Products, Weis Market, Sauders Eggs, Hahns of Westminster, Applebee’s for their generous donations to the food drive and veterans food pantry.
