We are proud to create the first Agent Orange Monument in the State of Maryland — a permanent tribute to Vietnam veterans, families, and generations forever changed by exposure to Agent Orange.
The monument is shaped as a tear drop, a form chosen with deep intention and meaning. It represents:
- The droplet of Agent Orange that altered the lives of so many.
- The tears of the veterans who carry the unseen wounds of exposure.
- The tears of their families, who walked beside them through illness, uncertainty, and loss.
This powerful symbol stands as a reminder that their sacrifice did not end when they returned home. The monument’s vibrant orange inscription — “Remember Our Sacrifice” — ensures that their stories, struggles, and courage are never forgotten.
This historic monument stands as a place of remembrance, reflection, and healing, honoring those who continue to fight the lasting effects of toxic exposure and those we have lost.
On Sunday, October 18th, we will proudly unveil Maryland’s first Agent Orange Monument, accompanied by a Vietnam Veteran Agent Orange Pinning Ceremony honoring those affected and their families. Full event details and participation information can be found under the Agent Orange Pinning tab.
